Travel Commissioning

As a Senior Commissioning Editor, I’ve commissioned and managed networks of award-winning and established journalists, and edited huge volumes of articles for an audience of 12 million monthly unique visitors. At emerging travel startup AwayAway, I worked with this same network to commission content at scale. In both roles, I’ve curated and vetted travel recommendations, including hotels, restaurants and experiences.

  • I commissioned an article on Europe's ultimate road trip as part of the low-intent project I managed, which ranks at the very top of the page for its search term. I chose Germany’s Romantic Road based on the search volume for it, supplying keywords to the writer.

  • I've commissioned my fair share of travel guides – rounding up where to stay, what to do and where to eat in destinations around the world – from the Catskills in New York to the UK's Lake District. I curated the contents before commissioning.

  • I love Byron Bay and I’m clued-up with sustainable fashion, so I was thrilled to commission a piece on the Byron Bay brands taking conscious fashion to knew heights. I worked with an award-winning Aussie writer, who interviewed local brands.
